OUR AWARD-WINNING FISHCAKES & FISH FINGERS
FISHCAKES - When we talk about fishcakes we’re certainly not referring to those sad symmetrical disks from your childhood with their rather unfortunate tangerine tans.
Every one of our rather rotund, light-to-bite treats are made using only the finest ingredients available and a large dollop of imagination.
Our inspiration comes in many guises, ranging from faraway trips and an intrinsic love of curry (Thai fishcakes) to mischievously mimicking the nation’s number one sandwich filler (tuna & sweet corn.)
Some of our fishcakes were simply conceived to satisfy more traditional tastes, (salmon & dill/smoked haddock and cod) whilst others aim to pander to altogether more polished palates (our omega 3 rich smoked mackerel)
FISH FINGERS - Those who accuse us of talking pollocks when it came to our fish fingers would be right, because even here we stubbornly refuse to conform to the traditional-tasting cod digit, opting instead for fuller-flavoured fishy shapes courtesy of an altogether more sustainable source of fish.
FISHPIES - When it comes to the perfect square meal, it’s hard to see past our wonderful fishpies, which always seem particularly popular with the lads.
Whether it’s the generous layer of magnificently melty, creamy mash that reminds them of their childhood, our princely portions, or the simple fact that we don’t dabble with any fiddly female trimmings (veg or shellfish), we really haven’t a clue. Then again, whatever it is it works!

Salmon & Dill Fishcake:
The Fishwives' favourite; bursting with salmon and mixed with some mash, fresh dill,
a dash of tangy Tabasco, a little tomato ketchup and some English
mustard. Silver award winning too!

Cod & Flat Leaf Parsley Fishcake:
We don't always offer this lovely cake because we only make it when we know the cod
is from sustainable sources. Equal parts cod and mash it's seasoned with a little flat leaf parsley, some lemon juice
& lemon zest. |

Smoked Haddock, Snipped Chives and Red Chilli
Fishcake:
Naturally, it's un dyed. We poach it gently in milk and cream then add some snipped chives, red chillis, anchovies and plenty of lemon juice and zest. |

Smoked Mackerel, Sweet Potato and Horseradish

One of our most popular ones - a sweet, smoky combination with a horseradish kick and gluten free |

Thai Fishcake: A noble little
one.
It's made with our hand-made red curry paste and blended with fillets of coley.
It's brilliant on the BBQ, simply serve it with a sweet chilli
dipping sauce for a fancy starter. Gluten free too! |

Baby Fishcake:
Fishy shaped and made from salmon, this little one has been made to encourage kids to eat more fish. |

"Brunchie" Fishcake: currently only available at farmers' markets
Scottish salmon, sustainable cod, flat leaf parsley, red onion, lemon zest, fluffy mash and lovely farmhouse cheddar. Not only for lunch! |

Indian Fishcake: currently only available at farmers' markets
Lovely Coley fillets blended with two fishwives red curry paste, mustard seeds, fresh corriander and sweet chilli sauce. Gluten free. Spicy but not too spicy. |

Fish Pie :
Gold Award winning, this fabulous pie features salmon, cod and smoked haddock, a creamy béchamel sauce and is topped with fluffy mash and a little farmhouse cheddar.
Gluten free option available which won a bronze medal in 2006. |

Made with the finest smoked mackerel, Cornish crème fraîche, plenty of lemon zest.
